In the winter semester of 2021-2022, a biweekly research colloquium, ”Global Politics & Global Sociology”, will be organized by Prof. Dr. Jana Hönke (Sociology of Africa) and Prof. Dr. Alexander Stroh-Steckelberg (African Politics and Development Policy) on behalf of the Faculty of Sociology at the University of Bayreuth.
The colloquium consists of seven open talks by researchers based at the University of Bayreuth and external guests, bringing together perspectives of sociology of transnational entanglements with sociologically informed research of politics and international relations, with a focus on thinking from Africa and the Global South more broadly.
The colloquium is open to the public, guests are explicitly welcome!
