The Infraglob team, represented by Jan Sänding, will participate in the International Conference on Land Governance & Future in Landau (Pfalz), Germany, on the 4th and 5th of June. The conference will be held at the University of Kaiserslautern-Landau, with over a dozen scholars and young academics from diverse disciplines such as political science, geography, peace and conflict studies, anthropology, and agricultural studies taking part in various panel discussions.
On the second day, Jan Sänding will engage in discussions with Courage Bakasa, Anne Hennings, Christopher Rohles, Smit Rajshekhar Patel, and Sibth Ul Hassan Turi on the topic of “Land disputes, contestation, and conflict resolution.”
He will present a paper at this occasion, co-authored with Jana Hönke, Mia Yigan Yang, and Sheila Aktech Orero, titled “Framings and practices of engagement: Struggles over Chinese investment projects in Africa.”
It is a great opportunity to learn more about Chinese investments in Africa and their contestations!
